For a pregnant mother the childbearing cycle can be both transformative and blissful but can also be extremely challenging. Providing massage to a laboring mother is a beautiful and sacred offering. Massage during labor can provide relief, reduce pain, create ease and offer emotional support to the mother.
In a caring and nurturing environment, we will explore positioning and massage techniques that will ease the discomforts of labor. During this one-day workshop, students will gain:

After childbirth a woman enters a time of transition as she settles into motherhood. She is bonding with her baby, establishing feeding and sleep routines. She is also healing physically, mentally and emotionally from the birth experience.
Massage is a powerful tool for new mothers to feel relaxed, nurtured and ease tired and tense muscles. Providing massage to the postpartum mother is a sweet and supportive offering. Women are able to either bring baby with or allow a trusted caretaker to be with baby while she relaxes. We will explore positioning, massage techniques, traditional postpartum practices and communication appropriate for a woman after she has given birth. In this one-day workshop, students will gain:
