Tree of Life Healing Arts offers a variety of continuing education training for Licensed Massage Therapists & Registered Yoga Teachers with Yoga Alliance.  Danielle is a New York State & NCBTMB approved provider of CE credits for massage therapists (Provider # 1473).  She has been teaching CE classes for LMTs since 2013 and is excited to expand offerings to yoga teachers.  Danielle teaches Anatomy and Physiology for the 200HR Yoga Teacher Training program at Radiate Yoga and Yoga Devi in Westchester NY.

​Learn the anatomy and physiology of the lower extremity and pelvis. We will discuss joints, ligaments and tendons. Skeletal and muscular anatomy and physiology will be covered. Attachments and actions of key muscles will be discussed for thorough comprehension.  Movement practices will be included to increase understanding of this region.  Common muscular injuries and issues in this area will be covered and modifications discussed.

​Learn the anatomy and physiology of the circulatory and respiratory systems. We will discuss the intimate relationship between the heart, lungs and breath. Gas exchange in the lungs will be discussed as well as the journey of blood through the body.  Movement and breath practices will be incorporated to increase understanding and aware of this region.  

ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF Nervous System and Digestive Systems

​Learn the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system and digestive system. We will discuss the various branches of the nervous system and the benefits of relaxation. We will discuss the intimate relationship between the nervous system and digestion.  Movement and breath practices will be incorporated to increase understanding and aware of this region.  

UNDERSTANDING THE FASCIAL WEB AND BODYREADING

​Learn the anatomy and physiology of fascia. We will discuss the unique characteristics and components of fascia. We will explore the intimate relationship between muscle tissue, fascia and movement.  Bodyreading and observing holding patterns in the body can help yoga instructors understand limitations and dynamics of range of motion. Movement practices will be included to increase understanding of fascia and learn how to bodyread your self and students.
