Massage for Labor & Childbirth

For a pregnant client the childbearing cycle can be transformative and blissful but can also be extremely challenging and exhausting. Providing massage to a laboring mother is a beautiful and sacred offering. Massage during labor can provide relief, reduce pain, create ease and offer emotional support to the laboring client. 
In a caring and nurturing environment, we will explore positioning and massage techniques that will ease the discomforts of labor. During this one-day workshop, students will gain:
  • A deeper understanding of the physiology of labor and childbirth
  • Understand the physical and hormonal shifts during labor
  • Students will learn techniques that offer relief and support during all three stages of labor
  • Acupressure points, reflex points, and hydrotherapy will be covered
  • Positioning, massage techniques and comfort measures will be practiced
  • Contraindications will be discussed​

Time: 9am-12:30pm
Location: Harisson NY 
Tuition: $ 200 Workshop must be paid in full upon registration. There is a $20 discount available if you refer a colleague who registers for the workshop. 
Cancelation Policy: A full refund is given if cancelation occurs 25 days prior to the start date of the workshop. If cancelation occurs 24-7 days prior to the start date $100 registration fee is retained. If cancelation occurs within 6 days prior to the workshop 50% of the workshop fee will be retained.
